GARDNERS'
CODE OF CONDUCT
Plots will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Danvers residents
will have first refusal.
The person signing for the plot will be responsible for the maintenance and
care of the plot to the specifications of the GARDEN COUNCIL.
Minors will be required to have an adult co-signer.
Each plot is 30' x 30' with a 4' walkway on two sides. Gardeners will be responsible
to maintain the North and East walkways and edges to the specifications of
the GARDEN COUNCIL.
Each plot will be assigned a post and a number. This post is to be installed
at the North East
corner of the plot and maintained by the gardener.
Gardeners will keep a clean and well-maintained garden area. Plant refuse,
rocks and stones will be put in areas as designated by the GARDEN COUNCIL.
All other trash/rubbish will be removed from the park premises. TRASH IN/TRASH
OUT.
No permanent storage of tools, hose, wheelbarrows, chairs, barrels, grills,
wood, baskets, fences, cold frames, metal, or any item made of plastic will
be permitted. Any of these or other unnatural items deemed inappropriate by
the GARDEN COUNCIL will be removed at the gardener's expense.
No pets will be permitted in the garden areas except of a leash.
Do not leave water sprinklers on unattended.
Washing of motor vehicles is not permitted. CONSERVE WATER!
Bucket brigaders have priority use at all times and at all water faucets.
Use only those pesticides registered for home vegetable garden use.
No parking on or blocking perimeter roads.
All fences should be 3 feet from the edge of the perimeter road.
The town or the GARDEN COUNCIL will not be responsible for protecting or policing
garden plots against vandalism or stealing of plants, fruits or vegetables.
1 All garden plots will be cleaned to GARDEN COUNCIL specifications by Nov.
15th. If the COUNCIL has to clean your garden you will forfeit your plot or
be charged $20 per plot.
Gardening hours are between 9:00 am and sunset.
All gardeners will display the garden parking permit sticker in the lower left-hand
corner of the windshield (on the side with the steering wheel).
All gardeners will use common sense and consideration for others at all times.
If your garden has not been planted by June 15th, or it is appears to be abandoned
at any time during the growing season, the GARDEN COUNCIL will reclaim control
of it.

and valuable consideration given me by the Town of Danvers, specifically
the use of Town owned land for a garden plot at Endicott Park, the
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby release and discharge
the Town of Danvers from any and all claims, demands, actions and
causes of action of every name and nature which I now have or might
have upon or against said Town of Danvers, its agents, servants or
employees, and especially from all claims arising out of any and
all personal injuries, damages, expenses and any loss or damage whatsoever
resulting or to result from the Town of Danvers allowing me the use
of said property for gardening purposes. It is also understood and
agreed that I will hold harmless the Town of Danvers from all claims,
demands and suits for damages, costs, loss of services, expenses
or compensation which I, my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators,
successors, assigns have or may have on account of or in any way
growing out of said use of Town property for gardening purposes or
its results by the Town of Danvers, or its agents, servants or employees.
I further
understand that this release is to compromise and terminate all claims
for injuries or damages of whatever nature, known or unknown, including
any damages known or unknown to the fruits, vegetables or flowers
which I have planted.
It is
further understood that the Town of Danvers is not responsible for
supplying the water or any other materials necessary for the care
of my garden.
