Programs
and Projects
The Friends of Endicott Park have accomplished many goals since being organized
in 1993.
For three
consecutive years, 1994,95, 96 , we have sponsored "Earth Day
for Kids", a spring program aimed at educating young people
to care for the earth.
In 1995,
the Friends installed an irrigation system(sprinklers) on the heavily
used front lawns of the park. This system is totally computerized
and valued at over $18,000. It has already saved countless manhours
of manual watering and reduced the cost of water expense. And lastly
it has kept the lawn usable and beautiful throughout the summer.
Our spring
program is " March for Parks". A 3 mile walk aimed at raising
funds for The Children's Barnyard Restoration Project. To restore
this priceless treasure we need to raise $50,000.
Without
your help we cannot accomplish this task. So, please support the
Friends and help the Park.
